Kimberly Gill

Dr. Kimberly Gill accepted the role as a Faculty Athletics Representative for the Columbus State University Athletics Department in July 2021.

The FAR plays an important role on college campuses, providing oversight of the academic integrity of the athletics program and serving as an advocate for student-athlete well-being. The NCAA requires each of its member institutions to appoint a FAR, who must be on the faculty or administrative staff and may not hold a position in the athletics department.

Dr. Gill is an Associate Professor and the Chair for the Department of Politics, Philosophy and Public Administration at Columbus State. She also serves as an advisor for the CSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

She obtained her Ph.D. and M.P.A. from Auburn University and her bachelor's degree from Georgia Southwestern State University.

At CSU, Gill's areas of focus include: conflict resolution, gender studies, public administration, public law, public policy, judicial policy, and administrative law.
