The Columbus State University Athletics Department named Kristin Culpepper the Head Women's Golf Coach in December 2023.
In 2025-26, Culpepper guided the Cougars to one of the program's strongest finishes in recent years. Columbus State recorded a runner-up finish at the Oldfield Intercollegiate, placed fourth at the Peach Belt Conference Championship and finished fourth at the Full Moon BBQ Invitational. The Cougars also posted a fourth-place finish at the CSU Lady Cougar Classic and earned four Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team selections. Individually, Culpepper coached two Peach Belt Conference Women's Golf Athletes of the Week. Culpepper's team also earned the 2025-26 Women's Golf Peach Belt Conference Spring Team Sportsmanship Award for the second time under her leadership.
During the 2024-25 season, Culpepper coached Marine DeLaubert to the Peach Belt Conference Elite 18 Award while helping the program place two student-athletes on the Peach Belt Conference Team of Academic Distinction. Columbus State also had four student-athletes earn WGCA All-American Scholar honors. The Cougars recorded a fifth-place finish at the Full Moon BBQ Invitational and placed fifth at the Peach Belt Conference Championship.
During her first season as head coach in 2023-24, Culpepper led the Lady Cougars to the Peach Belt Conference Spring Sportsmanship Award and coached her first All-Peach Belt Conference selection in Marine Legentil. She also earned her first collegiate victory as a head coach with a win over Point University in the Spring Dual Match. Culpepper's team also earned the PBC 2023-24 Spring Team Sportsmanship Award for women's golf
A native of Port Charlotte, Florida, Culpepper is a two-time alumna of Columbus State, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Business Management-Human Resources in 2013 and a master's degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Servant Leadership in 2015. Culpepper competed for the Cougars for two seasons before serving as a graduate assistant coach for two years.
As a student-athlete, Culpepper recorded two top-10 finishes during her collegiate career, including a tie for sixth at the Montevallo Invitational and a tie for sixth at the TSYS Collegiate Classic. She was also a member of the 2012-13 team that earned the program's first-ever top-25 ranking in the Golf World Coaches' Poll.
Prior to arriving at Columbus State, Culpepper earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business from Seminole State College of Florida, where she was named the team's Most Improved Player in both 2010 and 2011. She attended Lemon Bay High School in Englewood, Florida.
Culpepper resides in Columbus with her husband, Cates, a former CSU men's golfer, and their son, Kip.
