Columbus - Kansas Bayly broke a scoreless first half with a goal in the closing seconds before the Lady Cougars netted a pair of second half goals to lift them to a 3-0 win versus Georgia College in the first round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Tuesday night.

With the victory, Columbus State (16-2-1) set-up a rematch of last weekend's regular season finale with UNC Pembroke who upset No. 2 seed Lander 5-1 Tuesday afternoon in Greenwood, SC.  The semifinal contest will take place at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans, GA with kick-off set for 5:00 p.m.

CSU nearly got on the board in the opening minute of action as Emily Husted served the ball into the box which Bayly connected on, but was denied by GC goalkeeper Cornelius.

The Lady Cougars had several other opportunities throughout the first half but were unable to capitalize as the half started to draw to a close.

Off a Georgia College (10-8-1) goal kick, Catherine Lovin played a ball out wide to Kayla Brown on the left side of the field who attacked the GC defense splitting a pair of defenders.  Brown then played a ball across the field to a streaking Bayly who took a touch and curled a shot into the far left side of the net for her seventh goal of the season.  It was also Brown's seventh assist of the season.

Brown was in on the action on the second goal as well as she served a corner kick into the box that bounced around before Jaci Carithers laid the ball off to Casey Davis who fired a shot from 20 yards out and scored her second goal of the season in the 58th minute of play.

Chelsea Person capped off the scoring in the 67th minute as she gathered a cleared ball and took on a GC defender lifting a shot over a sliding Annie Stephens for her fourth goal on the year.

Mary Mancin picked up the win in goal for CSU playing the first 76 minutes of play while making two saves.  Meosha Hatcher completed the shutout denying the lone shot she faced.

Stephens allowed all the goals for GC as she played the first 72 minutes between the pipes picking up four saves while Taylor Cornelius played the last 18 minutes.

Columbus State improves to 16-3-1 all-time in the PBC Tournament including a 3-0 career mark versus Georgia College.  CSU also remained undefeated against the Bobcats improving to 8-0-4 while outscoring them by a 16-1 margin.
