COLUMBUS – After a strong opening night performance, the Columbus State University women's basketball team will travel to Georgia Southwestern for the PBC/SIAC Challenge. The Lady Cougars take on Fort Valley State on Friday and Albany State Saturday, with tipoff scheduled for 5 p.m. both days.

Columbus State led the country in opponents' field goal percentage last season and got off to a great start Wednesday allowing UWF to shoot just 28.8 percent.

CSU also led Division II last year in rebounding at 49.4 per game and grabbed 63 in the season opener.

The Lady Cougars knocked down eight 3-pointers on Wednesday, a number they reached just six times last season.
