COLUMBUS – The third-ranked and top-seeded Columbus State University women's soccer team will take on Lincoln Memorial Friday in the Southeast Region final. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.

Columbus State (17-0-2) is playing in its fifth straight regional final and its ninth overall. The Lady Cougars captured region titles in 2007, 2008, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

CSU advanced into the Southeast Region final behind a 4-0 victory over fourth-seeded Flagler on Sunday.

Sixth-seeded Lincoln Memorial (14-4-2) has drew each of its two NCAA Tournament matches. The Railsplitters tied Lander 2-2 last Friday, advancing on penalty kicks 5-3. LMU then drew Carson-Newman 1-1 in Sunday's second round before another 5-3 final in penalties.

Lincoln Memorial is in the regional final for the first time since 2004 and just the second time in program history.

Columbus State and LMU have met five times previously, with the most recent coming in 2012. The Lady Cougars lost the first match with the Railsplitters back in 2005, but have won four straight since.

CSU's goal-scoring prowess has been well documented, as the Lady Cougars currently rank second in the country at 3.84 goals per match. However, it's the Columbus State defense that has been rolling of late.

The Lady Cougars have recorded eight shutouts in their last 10 matches, and have yet to yield a goal in four postseason contests. Sophomore goalkeeper Bria Riancho has allowed just one goal in her last 937 minutes in net.
