BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 13
th-ranked Columbus State University women's tennis team tallied its best victory of the season on Wednesday with a 5-4 win at No. 4 Lynn. The nonconference match was played in Boca Raton, Fla.

Columbus State (11-1) has now won four straight and handed Lynn its first loss of the season against Division II competition.

The Lady Cougars jumped in front on Wednesday with a pair of doubles victories.

Beatriz Lopez and
Noa Davico were 8-5 winners at second doubles, while
Marleen Tilgner and
Giorgia Vitale downed their opponents 8-3 at third.

Lynn (11-2) got on the board with a 8-5 win over
Natalia Kattah Paz and
Candice Paya.

The Fighting Knights quickly tied the match at two apiece as Lopez fell 6-3, 6-3 at first singles, and then took the lead with a 7-6, 7-5 win over Vitale.

After dropping the opening set, Davico moved the match back even winning 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 at second singles. Paya seesawed the Lady Cougars back in front with a 7-5, 6-1 win and Tilgner clinched the victory with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at fifth singles.

Luise Sachs took the opening set at sixth singles, but lost 6-2, 5-7, 4-10.

nd-ranked Flagler on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 9 a.m. in Saint Augustine, Fla.
