ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The 13^th-ranked Columbus State University women's tennis team stayed perfect in Peach Belt Conference play with an 8-1 win over No. 32 Flagler on Wednesday. The match was played in St. Augustine, Fla.
 
Columbus State (12-1, 5-0) has now won five consecutive matches with three of the last four coming against ranked opponents.
 
The Lady Cougars made quick work of doubles play with three victories. Natalia Kattah Paz and Candice Paya were 8-4 winners at the top spot. Noa Davico and Beatriz Lopez took down their opponents 8-2 at second and Giorgia Vitale and Marleen Tilgner did the same at third.
 
Lopez and Davico each tallied ranked wins in singles play. Lopez won 6-4, 6-4, while Davico went to a tiebreak for a 7-5, 4-6, 10-7 win.
 
Paya rolled 6-2, 6-4 at third singles with Tilgner winning 6-3, 6-3 in the fourth spot. Luise Sachs was also a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 winner in the sixth position.
 
Flagler grabbed its lone win of the day at fifth singles with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Kattah Paz.
 
Columbus State will play host to second-ranked West Florida on Sunday at the John W. Walden Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m.
