COLUMBUS – The third-ranked Columbus State University women's tennis team kept its winning streak rolling with an 8-1 win over USC Aiken on Friday. The Peach Belt Conference match was played at the John W. Walden Tennis Center.

Columbus State (14-1, 6-0 PBC) has won seven consecutive matches and still holds a perfect mark in conference play.

The Lady Cougars breezed through doubles action on Friday, tallying three victories.

Natalia Kattah Paz and
Candice Paya kept their good run going at first singles with an 8-5 win.
Beatriz Lopez and
Noa Davico blanked their opponents at second and
Giorgia Vitale and
Marleen Tilgner were 8-2 winners at third.

With everyone sliding up one position in the singles lineup, Vitale was an easy 6-0, 6-2 winner at second singles. Paya didn't drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at third, and Tilgner cruised 6-1, 6-1 at fourth.

Kattah Paz was a straight-set winner as well 6-0, 6-2 at sixth, while
Luise Sachs won at fifth singles in a tiebreak 6-0, 6-7, 10-4.

USC Aiken tallied its only point of the match at first singles, where Davico fell 6-3, 6-1.
Columbus State will take on Francis Marion on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Walden Tennis Center.
