COLUMBUS – With the regular season in its final week, the third-ranked Columbus State University women's tennis team added another victory to its tally, taking down Auburn Montgomery 9-0 on Wednesday. The nonconference match was played at the John W. Walden Tennis Center.

Columbus State (18-1) has now won 11 straight matches with just two remaining on the schedule.

The Lady Cougars had no issues on Wednesday, dropping just four total games over three doubles matches.

Natalia Kattah Paz and
Candice Paya blanked their opponents 8-0 to start the day, followed up by a pair of 8-2 wins.
Beatriz Lopez and
Noa Davico teamed up for the win at second doubles, while
Giorgia Vitale and
Marleen Tilgner took down third.

Singles was more of the same, with six straight-set victories.

Davico slid to the top spot and rolled to a 6-4, 6-2 win at first singles. Vitale was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at second, with Paya sweeping the opposition 6-0, 6-0 at third.

Tilgner added a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the fourth position, while
Luise Sachs won 6-4, 6-3 at fifth and Kattah Paz finished off a 6-2, 6-4 victory at sixth.

The Lady Cougars play their final regular season home match on Thursday against No. 24 Georgia College. CSU would clinch the Peach Belt Conference regular season title outright with a victory. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
