FLORENCE, S.C. – The fourth-ranked and top-seeded Columbus State University women's tennis team had no problem in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament semifinals on Saturday, defeating No. 40 and fifth-seeded Flagler 6-0. The tournament is being played at Francis Marion.
 
Columbus State (21-2) made quick work of the Patriots and will play second-seeded and No. 25 Georgia College in Sunday's championship match. CSU is reaching the championship match for the eighth straight season and 12^th time overall. First serve is scheduled for 9 a.m.
 
It was another clean sweep of doubles for the Lady Cougars, who have lost just one doubles match against a conference opponent in 33 tries this season.
 
All three doubles pairings took care of business 8-2 in Saturday's semifinal. Candice Paya and Natalia Kattah Paz kept rolling at the top spot, while Noa Davico and Beatriz Lopez did the same at the second spot. Marleen Tilgner and Giorgia Vitale won their 15^th straight match in the third position.
 
Paya quickly moved the match to 4-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at fourth singles. Vitale and Tilgner finished their matches at the same time, giving the Lady Cougars a pair of clinching points. Vitale won third singles 6-4, 6-0, with Tilgner reversing the score for a 6-0, 6-4 win at five.
 
CSU was already up a set as well in two of the three unfinished matches.
