DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The 8th-ranked Columbus State University women's tennis team recorded their fourth straight 7-0 sweep, this time taking down 12th-ranked North Georgia. The Peach Belt Conference match took place at the UNG Tennis Complex.

The Lady Cougars faced two nationally-ranked doubles teams in the first and second spots but easily took care of business to earn the doubles point. Marleen Tilgner and Luise Sachs teamed up at the top spot to take down 50th-ranked Holly Bennett and Vaishali Jorge 6-3. One court over it was Beatriz Lopez and Noa Davico who took care of business against 38th-ranked Emma Etelalahti and Adrienne Bofinger 6-4.

Over at third doubles it was Candice Paya and Natalia Kattah Paz who picked up the 6-2 win over their counterparts to give the Lady Cougars the doubles sweep.

After a strong start CSU kept it rolling into singles play as five of the six courts ended in straight set wins for Columbus State.

55th-ranked Lopez took down 15th-ranked Vaishali Jorge 7-5, 6-1 in second singles to give the Lady Cougars another point. Over at third singles it was a dominating 6-1, 6-1 triumph for Paya over Bennett.

70th-ranked Sachs grabbed the victory at fourth singles with a 6-3, 6-4 scoreline while Davico cruised her way to a 6-1, 6-2 point at the fifth spot. Finally over at sixth singles it was Paz who picked up the 6-2, 6-3 straight set point for the Lady Cougars.

The only court to go to three sets was at the top spot with 34th-ranked Tilgner taking on 63rd-ranked Bofinger. In a tightly contested match it was Tilger who came away with the opening set 7-6 before Bofinger responded by the same score in set number two.
