• Lander (6-6, 4-4) has been busy since returning to action after four postponements during late January and early February. Since Monday, Feb. 8, the Bearcats have played three games, posting a 2-1 record.
• The Bearcats are 3-0 inside Finis Horne Arena this year but haven't played at home in over a month with its last contest coming on Jan. 13.
• On Saturday, LU used a late 7-3 run to pull away to defeat Francis Marion University 84-80 in Greenwood. Redshirt junior Zane Rankin scored 18, thanks to a 5-of-6 performance from beyond the arc. Rankin leads the PBC in 3-point shooting (48.4%) and averages 2.6 made treys per game.
• Four players average over 10 points per game for the Bearcats with Jermaine Patterson leading the way scoring 14.6 per game. Deon Berrien (12.4 ppg), DaJuan Moorer (11.3 ppg) and Sidney Robinson (10.2 ppg) are also scoring threats.
• Moorer will present a challenger for the Cougars in the post. The senior is averaging 7.2 rebounds per game, the 12th best mark in the conference, and ranks fifth in the league in blocks per game (1.6).
• As a team, Lander loves to shoot it from deep. The Bearcats are second in the PBC in made 3-pointers per game, averaging over nine a game. LU is shooting 35.1% from beyond the arc through 12 games.
• The Bearcats have struggled with turnovers, committing nearly 16 mistakes a game. Lander has four games this year with 20 or more turnovers.
