• The Cougar offense has exploded during their six-game winning streak. CSU is averaging over 8.3 runs per game while outscoring its opponents 53-14. The Cougars have launched seven homers, including three in a single-game against Miles.
• Hannah Rose Corbin is becoming one of the top sluggers in the nation. Sitting atop of CSU's order, the third-year sophomore is leading all of NCAA Division II with six home runs this season, while ranking fourth in the nation in total bases (33) and 20th in RBIs (11). She is also inside the top-10 in the Peach Belt Conference in slugging percentage (4th, 1.031), on-base percentage (5th, .623) and hits (10th, 12). Corbin will take a four-game hitting streak into Wednesday's doubleheader.
• On Tuesday, Corbin was awarded the PBC Player of the Week honors for the second time in her career. In the four games, the Clanton, Ala. native went 7-for-10 with a triple and four home runs, including smacking a grand slam versus Miles. She posted a .824 on-base percentage after drawing seven walks while scoring nine times and driving in seven. The dual-threat was also 2-0 in the circle with a complete-game performance against Shorter.
• True freshman Lindsey Patton delivered Columbus State's first walkoff hit of the year in the 4-3 win over Shorter on Sunday.
• Katelyn Cooper continues to be consistent at the plate as the second-year freshman collected two hits in each game on Saturday. Cooper leads the Cougars and ranks third in the PBC with a .522 average and second with a .633 on-base percentage. She is on a five-game hitting streak and has recorded a team-leading five stolen bases.
• Caitlyn Canady has a hit in 12 of CSU's 14 games this season, including one in each of the past 10. She has 16 hits on the year, the third-most in the PBC, to go along with nine RBIs and 12 runs.
