• The Cougars are on a six-game winning streak following sweeps over Emmanuel College, Miles College and Shorter University. Wednesday will be just the fourth true road game for CSU, with the Cougars holding a 2-1 record.
• Columbus State's offense has been one of the most potent in the Peach Belt Conference. CSU leads the league in on-base percentage (.452), while ranking third in home runs (15) and stolen bases (18).
• The Cougars have shown plenty of patience at the plate this year. CSU currently leads the nation in walks drawn (78).
• Hannah Rose Corbin is starting to make noise across the NCAA Division II level. The second-year sophomore earned PBC Player of the Week honors and was named the Louisville Slugger National Fastpitch Coaches Association Player of the Week last week. Corbin is tied for third in the nation with six home runs, and remains inside the top-10 in the PBC in slugging percentage (2nd, 1.031), runs scored (T-1st, 16), on-base percentage (3rd, .623) and walks (2nd, 19).
• Katelyn Cooper has been an offensive machine as the second-year freshman leads the Cougars and the PBC with a .522 batting average. Cooper also ranks second with a .633 on-base percentage. She is on a five-game hitting streak and has recorded a team-leading five stolen bases.
• Caitlyn Canady has a hit in 12 of the Cougars' 14 games this season, including one in each of the past 10. The second-year freshman has tallied nine RBIs and 12 runs.
• Harley Dawson leads CSU and ranks seventh in the conference with a 2.01 ERA. The fifth-year senior passed the 150 strikeout mark in her career last week.
