DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Columbus State University softball team dropped a pair of games to the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Ga. on Sunday, including in walkoff fashion in the nightcap.

GAME 1: UNG 3-1
The Cougars couldn't find any offensive momentum as
Morgan Elston's solo home run in the top of the second was the only Cougar hit against UNG starter Kylee Smith.
The Nighthawks quickly responded with two runs off of two hits in their half of the inning. Gracie Mixson hit a RBI single to plate Mallory Parker, who led off the inning with a walk. Mixson ended up giving UNG a 2-1 lead as she scored off a ball hit to starting pitcher,
Hannah Rose Corbin, who went to first with it to get the out.
Corbin fell to 20-7 inside the circle as the sophomore collected two strikeouts and only walked one.
GAME 2: UNG 6-3

UNG delivered again in the fifth, scoring one run thanks to a RBI single from Kaylyn Anthony, making it 3-2.
Columbus State was holding on to their 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the seventh, until three consecutive walks loaded the bases for Hammontree. On the third pitch, Hammontree jacked a walk off grand slam to right field to give the Nighthawks the 6-3 win.
Corbin finishes the regular season with a 20-8 record inside the circle while UNG starter Laken Chambers ends with a perfect 11-0 mark.
