LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Caitlyn Canady and Hannah Rose Corbin joined an exclusive club in Columbus State University softball history on Tuesday after being named All-Americans by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. 

The teammates become the first CSU All-Americans since Elizabeth Perdue earned the honors in 2018. The pair become the 15th and 16th All-Americans in program history.

Corbin was tabbed as a first team selection as the utility/pitcher honoree, while Canady grabbed a spot as an outfielder on the third team.

A Schutt Sports/NFCA Player of the Year finalist, Corbin is the best dual-threat at the NCAA Division II level. The sophomore hit .400, with a .967 slugging percentage and a gaudy .656 on-base percentage. She leads the nation in on-base percentage, is fifth in slugging and is tied for ninth with 16 home runs. The slugger set a new single-season PBC record with 67 walks, also the top mark in the nation, while driving in 39. 

In the circle, the Clanton, Ala. native is tough to hit, ranking eighth in the nation with 211 strikeouts in just over 165 innings of work this season. Corbin went 20-9 to pace the PBC in victories this season and collected eight double-digit strikeout games, including collecting 19 in a game against the University of West Georgia. She also made Cougar history against USC Aiken, tossing the 24th no-hitter in CSU history. In her first full season at

Columbus State, Canady led the Cougars in hitting with a .421 average. The freshman is inside the top-20 in the nation in total hits with 64 and smacked 10 doubles, five triples and two homers in 44 games. Canady had a 21-game hitting streak during the year and hit safely in all but six games this season. The Lawrenceville, Ga. native scored 38 runs and swiped 12 bases. Earlier this month, Canady was named a Schutt Sports/NFCA Division II National Freshman of the Year finalist.
