COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University women's basketball team fell to Flagler College 71-69 on Wednesday night in the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center.

The Lady Cougars dropped to 7-6 (0-3 PBC), while the Lady Saints improved to 8-5 (2-1 PBC).

The two Peach Belt Conference teams were neck-and-neck throughout the entirety of the game, with neither team going ahead by more than 10 points. With Flagler holding the lead 68-67 with only 25 seconds left, Olonna Rawls was fouled and drained both of her free throws to put CSU ahead 69-68. Less than 20 seconds later though, the Lady Saints stole the win away from the Lady Cougars when Sadie Russell made the game-winning 3-pointer, putting FC ahead by two points.

Emilia Tenbrock was the threat for Columbus State as the second-year freshman scored 18 points, including shooting .75% from the free-throw line, grabbing seven rebounds and making four steals and one block. Fellow second-year freshman, Amber Abusbeih, also led the way for the Lady Cougars, scoring 17 points and making five steals. Rawls and Imani Arnold both scored 11 points, with Rawls posting 11 rebounds.
