COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University women's basketball team defeated Clayton State University 78-68 on Saturday, Jan. 8 in the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center. The Lady Cougars improved to 8-6 (1-2 PBC), while the Lakers fell to 6-4 (0-2 PBC).
Imani Arnold led the way for Columbus State scoring 18 points, going 6-for-7 from the free-throw line and shooting 75% from the field.
Emilia Tenbrock added 15 points for the Lady Cougars and added three blocks all within the first period of play.
Amber Abusbeih also contributed for CSU, scoring 12 points, six of them being from behind the three-point line and the other six at the free-throw line.
The Lady Cougars will travel to Young Harris, Ga. on Wednesday, Jan. 12 for another Peach Belt Conference matchup against the Mountain Lions at 5:30 p.m.
