COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus State University women's basketball team defeated the University of Montevallo 88-76 Monday, Nov. 14 inside the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center, infront of a loud and exciting crowd.
Trailing after the first period of play, Columbus State came out with fire in the second, outscoring the Falcons by ten points and heading into halftime up 50-44. The Lady Cougars kept that same energy alive in the second half as the team remained ahead by at least 10 points the rest of the game.
NOTES:
- Emilia Tenbrock led CSU offensively with 24 rebounds and added eight rebounds.
- Olonna Rawls recorded her first double-double of the season, tallying 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, four being offensive rebounds.
- Simone Lett shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the field.
- CSU recorded a team total of 47 rebounds, 19 offensive and 28 defensive.
