Box Score ALBANY, Ga. - The Columbus State University women's basketball team cruised past Albany State 75-58 Saturday, Nov. 19 on the road. The Lady Cougars rise to 2-1 while the Lady Rams (2-1) record their first loss of the season.
CSU took the lead in the first period of play 17-9 and never looked back. The Cougars scored 26 more points in the second quarter, leading ASU 43-25 at the half. Columbus State continued the offensive domination, adding 32 more points in the second half.
"I'm so proud of todays win! The starting five started the tempo we wanted and set the tone, but what I was really proud of is how the freshman came into the game and put the game away," said Matt Houser, Head Women's Basketball Coach. "Olivia, Letiya and Simone really stepped up today to give us a great win."
