AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's basketball team lost their Peach Belt Conference opener at Augusta on Monday night. The loss will drop Columbus State to 7-3 (0-1 PBC), while Augusta stays red hot and improves to 8-1 (2-0 PBC).
The Cougars were able to battle with the Jaguars for the first half as they only trailed by two points going into halftime. A hard fought half saw a completely different story as it was a one-sided game from there on as CSU was outscored 29-45 in the second half of play. Nelson Haskin and
Jehloni James contributed eight points a piece to keep CSU within striking distance.
