COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus State Lady Cougars down West Florida 77-74 on Friday night afternoon at the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center. CSU advances to 5-1 as UWF drops to 2-4.
After a hot 4-1 start to the season, Columbus State welcomed West Florida by shooting the lights out. Although the game was close, the Cougars had a response for everything the Argonauts could throw at them. CSU had a couple special performances in what was a complete win filled with 3-point shooting, critical stops on defense, and game-icing shots.
Olonna Rawls is a force to be reckon with as she had another fantastic game. The outstanding sophomore, lead the Cougars in point with 19.
Amber Abusbeih was a walking bucket from beyond the arc as she drained four 3-point shots and finished with 18 total points.
Emilia Tenbrock, who leads CSU in scoring, keeps her scorching hot start to the season going as she scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Letiya Reeves finished with 10 points, shooting 60% from the floor, and made her only 3-pointer of the game.
