COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University women's basketball team lost a tough Peach Belt Conference game Saturday afternoon to Clayton State University, losing 73-67. CSU falls to 8-4 (2-2 PBC) and Clayton State improves to 7-5 (2-1 PBC).
Despite being down 17-11 after the first period, the Lady Cougars bounced back in the second outscoring the Lady Lakers 27-19, having the lead going into halftime 38-36. Both CSU's were back and forth in the second half, but Columbus State couldn't find the run to sustain the lead.
NOTES:
- Olonna Rawls led Columbus State and posted a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while also adding five assistsÂ
- Emilia Tenbrock scored 13 points, tallied six rebounds and added three assists
- Amber Abusbeih recorded 12 points and shot 75 percent (3-for-4) from the free-throw line
- Simone Lett tallied 10 points
- Letiya Reeves made eight steals and eight rebounds, while scoring seven
