PEMBROKE, N.C. - The Columbus State University men's basketball team dropped the final game of the UNCP Give Thanks Tournament to UNC Pembroke 51-66 on Sunday afternoon. The Cougars drop to 4-2 after the loss.
UNCP took a large lead in the first half, going into halftime with a 27-13 score over the Cougars. Columbus State came out strong in the second half, however, scoring 38 points, just one point less than the Braves.Â
Junior
Jarrett Adderton led the Cougars with 16 points, shooting 46 percent (7-for-15) from the field and 50 percent (1-for-2) from behind the three-point line.
Marquis Davison and
Roman Son each scored nine points, and
Joshua Jerome grabbed eight rebounds.
Columbus State shot 68.8 percent (11-for-16) from the free-throw line, 29 percent (18-for-62) from the field and 19 percent (4-for-21) from behind the arc.
