WINGATE, N.C. - The Columbus State University women's basketball team lost to Wingate University 46-59 Wednesday night in Wingate, N.C. The Lady Cougars fall to 2-3 while the Bulldogs improve to 5-2.
Columbus State only trailed by four points after the first period of play but could not outscore Wingate. The Bulldogs kept the lead throughout the entire game, but the Lady Cougars never once gave up.
CSU shot 25 percent (16-64) from the field and only 8.7 percent (2-23) from three-point range.
Letiya Reeves and
Simone Lett each scored in double-digits for the Lady Cougars, Reeves tallying 13 and Lett recording 14.
Olonna Rawls was also effective for CSU, as the senior guard grabbed 10 rebounds and scored eight points.

Columbus State will be back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 12 inside the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center in Columbus. The Lady Cougars will play Tuskegee University at 5:30 p.m.
