YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's basketball team is set to play Young Harris College on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. in Young Harris, Ga. This is the first game from the last 21 games that the Cougars and Mountain Lions will match up as non conference contenders, as YHC moved to the Conference Carolinas this past summer.
Columbus State holds a 13-9 record against Young Harris, with a two-game win streak from the 2022-23 season. In the last matchup, CSU beat YHC 70-64 in Columbus, adding another win to the home record against Young Harris (9-2). On the road, however, the Mountain Lions post a 6-4 record over the Cougars.
ABOUT YOUNG HARRIS
- YHC is 3-3 and is on a three-game win streak, defeating Edward Waters, Toccoa Falls and Mars Hill
- Cole Deptula leads the offense with a 15.7 scoring average, and Carl Cleveland is right behind him with a 14.7 average
- Cameron Bleshoy leads YHC in rebounds, averaging 6.0 a game

- The Cougars are 4-2 and recently fell to UNC Pembroke 51-66 on Nov. 26

- Jehloni James leads the team in rebound average with 6.7 and Marquis Davison posts a 6.5 average
