COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's basketball team comes away with a huge conference win against Georgia Southwestern by a score of 74-61. CSU moves to 14-11, 7-8 PBC, meanwhile, the Hurricanes fall to 12-12 and 5-10 PBC.
The Cougars were victorious in front of an electric home crowd in the annual Sea of Red game. CSU stepped up in an important game as they fight for seeding heading into the conference tournament. The Cougars held the Hurricanes to 27 percent shooting from three-point range and only allowed 11 total buckets in the second half.
Nelson Haskin continued his dominant season and was one rebound short of a double-double as he scored 15 with nine rebounds. Nelson now has set a career high for points in a season (291) and is nine points away from 300 points this season.
Daniel Melvin and
Wisdom Uboh were snipers from long range as they combined for seven three pointers. Melvin finished with 14 points and Uboh finished with nine points.

After an huge win, Columbus State will head on a road for the last time in the regular season as they take on the North Georgia Nighthawks who have claimed the top spot in the PBC with their win tonight. UNG beat CSU earlier in the season by a score of 60-55.
