Box Score 2 BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Columbus State University softball team split a doubleheader against King University (Tenn.) Saturday afternoon. After the win and loss, the Cougars are 4-1 and the Tornados are 6-6.
GAME 1 - CSU 2, KU 0
GAME 2 - CSU 1, KU 6
- King scored three runs in two innings to take a 3-0 lead over CSU
- The Cougars scored the only run of the game in the top of the fourth thanks to a Miller RBI sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Ambrose
- King's Carly Turner extended the Tornados' lead to 6-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning, ripping a three-run RBI double to left-center field
- Miller and Cooper each posted two hits
- Haylee Folds earned the loss inside the circle after 3.2 innings pitched and striking out three batters

Columbus State will continue the weekend road trip, traveling to Greeneville, Tenn. on Sunday, Feb. 19 to play a doubleheader against Tusculum University starting at noon.
