COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University women's basketball team defeated Peach Belt Conference foe Georgia College State & University 82-78 in the final game of the regular-season on Saturday, Feb. 25 inside the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center. The Lady Cougars end regular-season play with an overall record of 15-11 (9-9 PBC) and GCSU went 15-13 (7-11 PBC).
The Lady Cougars had control throughout the entirety of the game, outscoring the Bobcats in three out-of-the four periods. GCSU began to make a comeback in the second half, but the CSU defense was so strong that they held the Bobcats from taking the victory.
NOTES:
- Four Lady Cougars' scored in the double-digits, with Olonna Rawls posting a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds
- Letiya Reeves led CSU's offense with 19 points, shooting 61 percent (8-for-13) from the field
- Emilia Tenbrock and Amber Abusbeih each recorded 15 points, with Tenbrock grabbing eight rebounds
- The Lady Cougars shot 78.9 percent (15-for-19) from the free-throw line

Columbus State heads into the PBC Tournament as the seventh seed and will play second-seeded Clayton State University on Wednesday, March 1 in the quarterfinals at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Ga. Tip off is set for noon.
