COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's basketball team stops late second half comeback to defeat Flagler 75-66. This win completes the season sweep of Flagler and improves the Cougars record to 13-9 and 6-6 in PBC play. The Saints drop to 11-12 (5-7 PBC)
Nelson Haskin continues his great season by scoring 14 points, his tenth time scoring double-digits this season, and coming down with seven rebounds which led the Cougars.
Daniel Melvin extends his streak of scoring double-digit points to four games as he helped hold off the Saints by knocking down shot after shot.
Wisdom Uboh scored 12 points, all of which came on three-point shots. Uboh continues to be the shot in the arm CSU can count on from the bench.Â
Columbus State was able to hold Flagler to 27.5 percent shooting and 13.3 percent from three in the first half while CSU made 36.3 percent of theirs. Both teams came out of halftime with the intent to score any way possible. The Saints heated up by improving their shot percentage by 20 percent from the field, meanwhile, the Cougars improve their shot percentage by 10 percent. It was a scoring clinic from there on out because both teams scored over 40 points in the second half.
NOTES:
- CSU had 10 steals which is their third highest make of the season and the fifth time this season they had double-digit steals
- The Cougars had 21 assists which is their third highest of the season
- CSU made 18 free-throws which is their second highest free-throw total of the season
- CSU had seven total blocks which is their second highest mark of the season

Columbus State will carry the best current win streak in the conference on the road for a conference clash with Young Harris on Wednesday, Feb. 8. CSU lost earlier in the season to YHC by a score of 69-54.
