COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University softball team will host Peach Belt Conference opponent USC Aiken on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 at Cougar Field. The Cougars and Pacers are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 3 p.m. and end with a single game on Sunday at noon.

About the Cougars:
- CSU recently swept a nonconference doubleheader against Miles College on Wednesday, March 22 at Cougar Field to extend their 10 game win streak at home. The Cougars post a 21-10 record and are in second place in the conference with a 7-2 record.
- Eight Cougars post a batting average over .300 with Hannah Rose Corbin leading the team with a .482 avg., .855 slugging, .619 on base and 40 hits.
- In the circle, Corbin records a 3.15 ERAÂ and Jessica Lopez marks a 3.67. Corbin leads the Cougar pitching staff in strikeouts with 106 on the season.
About the Pacers:
- USCA is 14-18 on the season and 6-6 in PBC play. They are currently on a three-game win streak after sweeping Georgia College on Saturday, March 18 and Sunday, March 19.
- Emily Ayers leads the Pacer offense with a .350 batting average, 36 hits, seven doubles and two triples. Shi Cain, Kadence Adams and Mallory Shaver are also hitting over .300 for USC Aiken.
- Lakyn Phillips has a 4.27 ERA and Payton Baker holds a 5.37 onn the mound. Phillips tallies 98 strikeouts and is 8-8, while Baker records 89 strikeouts and is 6-9.
