COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University softball team is set to host Peach Belt Conference foe Lander University for a three-game series at Cougar Field starting on Friday, March 10 at 5 p.m. The Cougars are entering the series with a 12-7 (1-2 PBC) record and the Bearcats come to Columbus with a 15-5 (6-0) record.

Saturday, March 11 at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
About the Cougars:
- The Cougars return to Columbus after dropping two games against PBC opponent Georgia College on March 4 and 5.Â
- CSU is 5-0 at home so far in the 2023 season.
- Hannah Rose Corbin hit 14-for-21 last week and leads the PBC in five hitting categories (batting average, slugging percentage, on base percentage, OPS, and walks).
- Jessica Lopez posts a 2.91 ERA with a 5-1 record inside the circle. Corbin records 64 strikeouts and is tied for first in the conference.
- As a team, Columbus State posts a .342 combined batting average.
About the Bearcats:
- Lander comes to Columbus after splitting a doubleheader with Florida Southern College on Wednesday, March 8 in Lakeland, Fla. LU is undefeated in conference play, sweeping Augusta and USC Beaufort.
- The Bearcats are 1-1 on the road.
- Abbie Behe leads Lander's offense with a .419 batting average, a . 694 slugging percentage and a .478 on base percentage. She posts 26 hits, nine doubles and 20 RBIs.
- Inside the circle, Taylor Scott records a 2.17 ERA with 35 strikeouts, and Bailey Pattison has a 3.07 ERA with 24 strikeouts.
