COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University softball team is set to host a three-game Peach Belt Conference series against the University of South Carolina Beaufort Sand Sharks on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16. This will be the first meeting between both teams.

- The Cougars recently swept a PBC series against Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday, April 12 and took two of three games against No. 1 ranked North Georgia over Easter weekend. CSU snapped UNG's 38-game win streak on Sunday.
- Kenzie Bayer is the reigning PBC Player of the Week after going 5-for-9 with seven RBIs, three home runs, three runs scored and one double in the Cougars' doubleheader sweep over the Nighthawks, and Hannah Rose Corbin was tabbed Pitcher of the Week after making two appearances against UNG, getting a complete-game win in the opener and two shutout innings in the second.

- USC Beaufort is 11-33 overall and posts a 3-18 conference record in their first season in the PBC.
