Bayer got things started for the Cougars in the bottom of the second inning with an RBI double to left center, plating Laura Harris from first base. Later in the inning Bayer scored thanks to a Grace Kiser sacrifice fly to right field, making it 2-0.

Bayer did it again in the third inning, this time ripping a three-run home run over the right center field wall to put CSU ahead 5-0.

With the run-rule in affect in the fifth and bases loaded, Anna Waites hit a sacrifice fly out that was foul off of the right field line, allowing Madeline Parker to tag up and score. With just two runs to score for the game to be over early, senior Elyse Ambrose jacked a three-run pinch hit home run to left center field, making the final score 9-0.
