VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Columbus State University women's soccer team lost 2-3 to Rollins College Wednesday afternoon in Valdosta, Ga. The game was a neutral site game played at Valdosta State University's soccer field.
Rollins took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute and maintained it going into halftime. Columbus State sophomore
Sarah Hungerford found the back of net in the 56th minute to tie the game, thanks to an assist from junior
Lauren Barnes.
Rollins took the lead back just seven minutes later as Ryland McGratty collected her second goal of the game. However, the Cougars tied it again in the 72nd minute when
Lauren Barnes shot out wide and scored, assisted by
Anna Grady.
Rollins got the best of CSU, though, and scored just three minutes later to win 3-2. Rollins out shot CSU 14-11 and the Cougars tallied six corner kicks while Rollins recorded two.Â

Lizzie Hedrick collected three.

The Cougars will begin Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 16 against Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
