BLUFFTON, S.C. - The Columbus State University women's basketball team secured the victory with a score of 73-66 on the road at the University of South Carolina Beaufort Wednesday night. With this victory, Columbus State improves to 10-7 (6-3 PBC) overall and clinches their fourth game in a row. With this loss, USC Beaufort falls to 5-12 (1-8 PBC) overall. 
Letiya Reeves dropped a career-high 39 points in the win over the Sand Sharks. Reeves' impressive performance came on 12-of-20 (60 percent) shooting from the field, 3-of-7 (43 percent) from behind the arc, and 12-of-14 (86 percent) from the free throw line. She also added four steals and three assists to the night as well.
After Reeves, the only other Lady Cougar to score in double figures was 
Olonna Rawls, who finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. 
Simone Lett scored eight points off the bench for CSU in their win.
Columbus State controlled the game 98 percent of the time, with their highest advantage of 30-19 occurring in the second quarter of play. USC Beaufort recovered more rebounds than CSU, 41-38, although it had little influence on the Lady Cougars. Columbus State scored an impressive 55 points off the bench compared to USC Beaufort's nine.
As a team, Columbus State was 35.6 percent (26-73) from the field, 20.8 percent (5-24) from the three-point line, and 84.2 percent (16-19) from the charity stripe.
