COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University women's basketball team fell to Augusta University 67-57 Saturday afternoon inside the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center. With the loss, the Lady Cougars fall to 5-5 overall (1-1 PBC), and the Jaguars improve to 8-4 overall (2-0 PBC).
The Lady Cougars had a 33-28 lead against the Jaguars at the break, but Augusta's hot 25-point fourth quarter proved to be the game-winning factor, giving them the road win.

Amber Abusbeih and
Olonna Rawls led the team each scoring in double figures. Abusbeih scored 14 points, while Rawls finished with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
As a team, Columbus State was 37.3 percent (7-17) from the field, 43.5 percent (10-23) from the arch, and 60 percent (9-15) from the free throw line.

Columbus State will travel to Americus, Ga. on Wednesday, Jan. 10 to face PBC rival Georgia Southwestern State University at 5:30 p.m.
