LILBURN, Ga. - Columbus State University Women's Basketball was selected 24th in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Preseason Coaches' Poll on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Lady Cougars appear in the top 25 with 106 voting points. CSU appears alongside Georgia Southwestern who ranked 17th in the poll. Moments earlier on Tuesday, Columbus State was selected three spots ahead of GSW in the Peach Belt Preseason Poll, taking the top spot.
 
CSU is coming off an overall record of 19-10 last season while going 13-5 in conference play. The Lady Cougars closed out the season in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship game against Georgia Southwestern.
 
The Lady Cougars will have a depth of experience and talent with 11 upperclassmen on the roster which includes five seniors or graduate students. Letiya Reeves and Olonna Rawls highlight the returning upperclassmen as the two leading scorers from a year ago. CSU also welcomes some talented newcomers in Haelim Adle, Aaliyah Ferrell, and Nadea Smith.
 
Columbus State tips-off tomorrow at 7 p.m. ET in Tuscaloosa, Ala. for an exhibition versus Alabama in Coleman Coliseum. The Lady Cougars will follow with the Tusculum Challenge on Nov. 9-10 in Greeneville, Tenn.
