COLUMBUS – The top-seeded and second-ranked Columbus State Women's Soccer team hosts third-seeded North Georgia for the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship on Sunday.
The Lady Cougars (21-0-1) welcome the Nighthawks (13-3-3) to the Walden Soccer Complex for a 3 p.m. ET kick off.
CSU and UNG last met in the regular season in Peach Belt Conference play. The Lady Cougars took a 1-0 win back on Oct. 26 in Columbus.
Columbus State has advanced to the Southeast Regional Championship after a 3-0 win over eighth-seeded Francis Marion (S.C.) and a 6-0 over fourth-seeded and 17th-ranked Catawba (N.C.).
As for North Georgia, they downed Wingate (N.C.) with a 2-0 win in the first round and followed with a 1-0 win over Lander in the second round.
The last time the two met in the NCAA Tournament, Columbus State defeated North Georgia 4-2 in Columbus in the Southeast Regional First Round during the 2022 season. CSU is 7-1 in the last eight meetings versus UNG.
