COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University softball team won two games on Sunday, Feb. 11 at Cougar Field. The Cougars beat Georgia College 9-0 and Tuskegee University 10-2. 

Game 1: CSU 9 GCSU 0

• The Cougars scored five runs in the first inning to take an early lead over the Bobcats
• Kristen Odum and Lindsey Patton each hit RBI singles and Kenzie Bayer hit a three-run home run 
• CSU scored another three runs in the third inning with a sacrifice fly from Grace Kiser and two RBI singles from Madison McDonald and Odum
• Brooke Miller added a home run in the fifth inning to make it 9-0
• Caitlyn Canady, Odum, Miller and McDonald each tallied two hits
• Haylee Folds received the win on the mound after 5.0 innings pitched and striking out six batters

Game 2: CSU 10 TU 2

• Tuskegee scored two runs in the first but CSU responded with four to take the lead, thanks to a Lindsey Patton bases clearing double and a Bayer sacrifice fly
• The Cougars then scored six runs off of two hits and two errors in the second inning to give CSU 10 runs
• Patton led CSU going 1-for-2 with three RBIs 
• Jessica Lopez earned the win inside the circle after pitching 5.0 innings, striking out three and allowing four hits
