AMERICUS, Ga. - The Columbus State University softball team prepares for Peach Belt Conference this coming weekend with Georgia Southwestern State University. The Cougars and Hurricanes will play in Americus, Ga. at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, following with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
After being awarded co-champions of the PBC regular-season in 2023 with North Georgia and holding a 24-3 record, the Cougars entered the 2024 season ranked second in the pre-season poll. The Hurricanes finished 2023 in second place with a 19-8 record in the regular-season and were voted third in the PBC's pre-season rankings.
