COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's basketball team defeated USC Beaufort 93-74 Wednesday night in the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center on senior night. With the win, the Cougars improve to 14-12 (8-9 PBC).
Columbus State took a 10-point lead early in the first half before Beaufort started to come back. With nine seconds left until halftime, USCB made a three-pointer to close CSU's lead to one point, heading into halftime with a score of 41-40, CSU. However, the Cougars came out with energy in the second half, outscoring the Sand Sharks 52-34.
Wisdom Uboh led CSU with 28 points and senior
Marquis Davison tallied 20.
Jehloni James added 13 points and
Jarrett Adderton scored 10. Senior
Joshua Jerome grabbed 13 rebounds and
Kordell Brown recorded nine points.
CSU shot 67.7 percent from the charity stripe, 47.1 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from behind the arc.

Columbus State will travel to Milledgeville, Ga. to play the final game of the regular-season against PBC opponent Georgia College.
