VALDOSTA, Ga. - The No. 8 Columbus State women's tennis team beat Valdosta State University 5-2 Thursday afternoon on the road. The Lady Cougars now post a 4-3 record and VSU falls to 2-3.
The Lady Cougars earned the double point as the pairs of
Mariana Ramirez and
Nikoline Gullacksen, and
Agostina Bigotti and
Laura Pesickova each defeated their opponents. Ramirez and Gullacksen won 7-5 and Bigotti and Pesickova won 6-3.Â

- Ramirez defeated Rainke in three sets: 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3)
- Gullacksen beat Poborilova 6-2, 6-2
- Pesickova lost in three sets: 7-5, 5-7, 0-1 (6-10)
- Isadora Oliveira defeated Pezo 6-0, 7-6 (9-7)
- Bigotti lost 1-6, 2-6
- Yelena Labat beat Fedorova 6-4, 6-3
