ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Columbus State softball team dropped the first game of a Peach Belt Conference series against Flagler College 3-6 Friday afternoon on the road.
Flagler held Columbus State from scoring until the top of the seventh inning when the Cougars scored the only three runs of the game. The Saints scored two runs in the fourth off a home run, three in the fifth off of two hits and one error, and one run in the sixth with another home run.
CSU got on board in the seventh inning thanks to a three-run home run from
Brooke Miller. The Cougars tallied eight hits Friday while the Saints recorded nine. CSU also made two errors.
Haylee Folds received the loss inside the circle and falls to 7-4.
Lindsey Patton and Miller each led CSU with two hits.

The Cougars will play a doubleheader against the Saints on Saturday, March 30 at noon and 2:30 p.m.
