Bayer Named D2CCA All-Southeast Region Second Team

Softball's Kenzie Bayer was honored on the All-Southeast Region Second Team as a utility player.

GREENWOOD, S.C. - The NCAA Division II Conference Commisioner's Association announced the softball All-Southeast Region Team on Tuesday, May 14 and Columbus State University's Kenzie Bayer was named to the Second Team as a utility player.

Bayer played in 50.8 percent of games at third base and 47.3 percent of games at first base for the Cougars in the 2024 season. The senior from Marbury, Ala. led CSU with a .363 batting average and posted 58 hits, 49 RBI, 14 home runs, six doubles and one triple. She recorded a .675 slugging percentage and reached base .464 of the time.

On defense, Bayer tallied a .941 fielding percentage with 171 put outs and 53 assists. This is her second all-region award of her career, and first from D2CCA.
