DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Columbus State University softball team prepares for the NCAA DII Southeast Regional #2 from May 9-11 in Dahlonega, Ga., hosted by the University of North Georgia. The sixth seeded Cougars will start play against third seeded Francis Marion University on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park.
The two other teams participating in this regional are second seed and host North Georgia, and seventh seed Flagler College. The Nighthawks and Saints will matchup on Thursday at 2 p.m. The winners of both games on Thursday will advance in the winners bracket and play at noon on Friday, while the losers will have to fight through the losers bracket starting at 2:30 p.m. This tournament is a double-elimination format.

The winner of each of the two four-team regionals will participate in the Super Regional round (two-of-three) at the highest remaining seed on May 14-15. The winner of the Super Regional will represent the Southeast Region at the 2024 NCAA Division II Softball Championship in Orlando, Fla. as part of the NCAA Division II Spring Sports Festival on May 21-25, 2024.
