COLUMBUS – The Columbus State University men's and women's basketball teams return home for a Peach Belt Conference rivalry matchup against Clayton State (Ga.) on Wednesday night. CSU welcomes the Lakers for a PBC doubleheader and urge all of Cougar Nation to white-out the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center.

Women's Basketball vs Clayton State
The Lady Cougars (9-4, 3-1 PBC) picked up a massive upset victory at #6 North Georgia on Monday night and will look to carry the momentum into Wednesday's clash versus Clayton State. CSU surged in the fourth quarter and was led by four double-digit scorers for the night.
Columbus State averages 73.5 points per game with a 7.6 scoring margin. Individually,
Bre'lyn Snipes leads the scoring efforts by averaging 14.3 ppg with
Letiya Reeves close behind with 14.2 ppg.
Olonna Rawls leads the team with 5.7 rebounds per game, 3.2 steals per game, and 2.6 assists per game.
The Lakers (5-9, 2-2 PBC) visit Columbus after taking down Lander (S.C.) on Monday. Clayton State produces 61.8 points per game and has recorded a -9.4 scoring margin. Jadah Waite leads the way with 14.9 ppg and 2.4 steals per contest. The Lakers are shooting 36.9% from the field, 27.2% from three, and 60.5% from the foul line.

#25 Men's Basketball vs Clayton State
The #25-ranked Cougars (12-2, 4-1 PBC) have responded well to the loss at Augusta (Ga.) on Jan. 4 with a pair of huge wins against Georgia Southwestern and North Georgia. CSU knocked off the Nighthawks on Monday night in a 65-62 battle on the road.
Jarrett Adderton highlighted the start of the week with PBC Player of the Week honors on Monday afternoon for his career-high 35 points against GSW last week.
Jehloni James tallied a double-double against the Hurricanes and followed with 21 points in the win at UNG. CSU is averaging 83.2 ppg and are led by Adderton with 21.6 ppg, James with 16.4 ppg, and
Wisdom Uboh with 12.1 ppg.
As for the Lakers (6-8, 0-4 PBC), they have had a sluggish start to PBC play after most recently falling to Lander (S.C.) on Monday night. Clayton State averages 69.5 ppg and are led by the duo of DJ Wright and Aaron Pitts who average 11.9 ppg and 11.8 ppg, respectively.
