Basketball Competes at Lander on Sunday Afternoon

The Lady Cougars tip-off at Noon ET while the Cougars play at 2 p.m. ET

COLUMBUS – After a winter weather shakeup of the schedule, Columbus State University men's and women's basketball teams travel to Greenwood, S.C. on Sunday for a Peach Belt Conference doubleheader at Lander (S.C.).

Women's Basketball at Lander

The Lady Cougars (11-4, 5-1 PBC) return to business on Sunday after some time away from action. CSU last played on Jan. 18 against USC Aiken, securing an 81-70 victory to cap off a 3-0 week. In addition, Head Coach Matt Houser was named the WHoopDirt.com D2 Coach of the Week for the Lady Cougars' performance.
 
Columbus State holds a 24-18 overall record against Lander and took a pair of wins last season. Reigning PBC Player of the Week, Letiya Reeves, will be key to help lead the Lady Cougars on Sunday. She is averaging 13.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 steals, and 1.5 assists per game. Bre'lyn Snipes remains the leading lady in scoring with 14.7 ppg.
 
The Bearcats a (8-5, 3-3 PBC) last played on Jan. 18, falling 69-61 at Georgia College. Lander is led by four players in double-digit scoring averages with Quadaija Langley leading the way with 15.8 ppg followed by Shcira Fowels with 14.1 ppg.

#19 Men's Basketball at Lander

The #19-ranked Cougars (14-2, 5-1 PBC) remain one of the hottest teams in the PBC, if not, the nation. CSU moved up to 19th in the latest NABC Coaches' Poll after a 3-0 week was capped off by an 85-65 win against USC Aiken on Jan. 18.
 
Jehloni James was tabbed PBC Player of the Week for his performances. He is one of three CSU athletes that averages double-digit points with 16.6 ppg. He is also leading the way with 6.6 rebounds per contest. Jarrett Adderton remains atop of the scoring averages with 21.2 while Wisdom Uboh is averaging 12.1.
 
Lander (10-6, 4-2 PBC) returns to play after an 88-86 win at Georgia College on Jan. 18. The Bearcats average 81.2 ppg with a 7.3 scoring margin. Lander is led by Noah Dunn who averages 16.5 ppg. Inady Legiste and Dominic Stanford also lead with double figures, averaging 15.3 ppg and 13.9 ppg, respectively.
