COLUMBUS – Columbus State basketball welcomes two Peach Belt Conference foes to the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center this week. CSU will host USC Beaufort (S.C.) on Wednesday night and will cap the week off with a Saturday doubleheader against Augusta (Ga.) on Herbert Greene Court.

The Lady Cougars (11-5, 5-2 PBC) dropped a 76-66 loss at Lander (S.C.) on Sunday as shooting woes plagued CSU, especially from beyond-the-arc.
Letiya Reeves totaled 18 points against the Bearcats to lead CSU.
Columbus State looks to bounce back with a pair of home games this week, opening with USC Beaufort on Wednesday and following with a tough rematch against Augusta on Saturday. CSU is 2-0 versus the Sand Sharks (3-12, 1-6 PBC) and are 31-10 all time versus the Jaguars (12-5, 4-3 PBC).
Scouting the Opponents
USC Beaufort – The Sand Sharks are on a five-game skid, recording an 86-59 loss to Flagler (Fla.) on Saturday. Lydia Gattozzi leads the offense with 15.1 ppg while Janiyah Heyward leads the team with 6.0 rebounds per game, 3.4 assists per game, and 2.9 steals per game. USCB is averaging 58.4 ppg this season as a team.
Augusta – The Jaguars lost to #7 North Georgia on Saturday by just one point and are on a two-game skid. CSU and AU are 5-5 in the last 10 matchups with the Jags taking the last meeting, 63-52 back on Jan. 4. Quinasia Abercrombie and Mone Florence both average 10.2 ppg to lead the offense. Abercrombie also leads with an average of 7.0 rebounds per contest.

The #19-ranked Cougars (15-2, 6-1 PBC) continue to roll this season, adding their fifth consecutive win since Jan. 4 with a 74-65 road victory at Lander on Sunday.
Jarrett Adderton and
Roman Son led the way on Sunday with 16 points each with Adderton snagging 15 boards for a double-double.
Adderton remains the leading scorer for CSU with 20.9 ppg this season followed by
Jehloni James with 15.9 ppg and Wisodom Uboh with 12.0 ppg. As a team, CSU is averaging 82.9 ppg and holds a 10.5 scoring margin.
Scouting the Opponents
USC Beaufort – The Sand Sharks (13-4, 5-2 PBC) slipped to Flagler on Saturday in a tight one-point defeat which snapped a five-game win streak. CSU is 1-1 all time versus USCB. Kenney Gaines leads the offense with 12.2 ppg followed by Kevaughn Price and Alejandro Ralat with 10.9 and 10.5 ppg, respectively.
Augusta – The Jaguars (11-6, 5-2 PBC) dropped a loss at UNG on Saturday and will visit Columbus on Saturday with a win over the Cougars in hand this season. CSU is 16-31 versus Augusta and will look to snap the two-game skid against the Jags. AU averages 82.2 ppg and is led by Demitri Garnder who averages 23.2 ppg.
