MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Columbus State University women's soccer team earned a key Peach Belt Conference road victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating Georgia College and State University 2–0 at Bobcat Field. With the result, the Lady Cougars improved to (9-5-1) overall and (7-2-0) in Peach Belt Conference play, while the Bobcats dropped to (7-5-3) overall and (5-2-2) in the Peach Belt.
Columbus State wasted little time asserting control, breaking through in the eighth minute.
Sarah Hungerford found the back of the net off a perfectly placed cross from
Mia Robinson, slotting her finish into the left corner to put the Lady Cougars ahead 1–0. Hungerford doubled her tally in the 22nd minute, capitalizing inside the box and calmly finishing for her second goal of the day.

Heidi Harris, locked down the Bobcats for the full 90 minutes. Harris recorded one save for her fourth shutout of the season. The Cougars' back line limited Georgia College to just four total shots, only one of which was on frame.
